    It all begins with a goal. Some kids that were into athletics before their injury, but they are now limited because of their disability. Their sport now requires some modifications or adaptions so that they can just play a sport.

    Insurance companies will not pay for any adaptive equipment that would benefit a person with a disability for a sport. It is up the individual to get funds to purchase any equipment that is needed to become an athlete.

    Having a disability is very stressful for a lot of people, especially children. They want to get out and be like the other kids with playing sports. Insurance companies will not pay for a sports chair, even though it will help with the child’s rehabilitation. Sports chairs have to be personally designed for the individual to play their chosen sport. Insurance companies will not pay for these chairs, and it is left up to the individual to pay out of pocket for these chairs. Sports chairs are very expensive!

    I use to play tennis in high school, and now I play wheelchair tennis. I paid $2,000 for my sports chair.

    I am asking for a donation so that it will go to purchase a sports chair for a young adult to start playing the sport they miss or are interested in playing.

One of those cuts were the insurance premiums with a high deductable. is already struggling to get by financially due to the lack of medical insurance coverage. Their child needs a wheelchair ramp that will allow better access in and out of the house, and the insurance company They need the funds and a reputable company to provide the accessibility ramp.
